The vibrator with the funny name is now near the top of my list of favorite toys.
When I received the Womolia Heat from Emotional Bliss, I knew I was getting a quality product.
The vibrator arrived packed securely in a box containing a well laid out and informative manual, a small bottle of silicone lube, and a charger. The 27-page manual not only contains instructions for the product but suggestions for use.
The details: The Womolia has nine vibration/pulse settings. There is a separate on/off button in addition to the plus/minus buttons, which are used to cycle through the settings. A cool feature (the Sensations Graph, bottom of the page) at the Emotional Bliss website allows you to hear what the different vibration patterns sound like. The Womolia heats up! Over time, the end of the vibrator can get up to 122 degrees Fahrenheit on two of the higher settings. Of course, Alec had to take this opportunity to verify these heat claims. Check out the results: starting temp, after running 25 minutes on the high constant setting. Womolia is made up of TPE (ThermoPlastic Elastomer – the blue portions of the product) and ABS (hard plastic – white portion of the product). Both of these materials are phathlate-free. The TPE contains an anti-bacterial agent that is activated by washing with water and wiping the product. Per the manual: “When in contact with moisture, the outer layer of the chemical matrix in the plastic slowly dissolves, releasing silver ions to the surface” and “The silver ions are the biologically active component and are 99.9% or even 99.999% effective against a wide range of micro-organisms.” The suggested method of cleaning is using mild soap, taking care not to submerge the vibe. Those wishing to share this toy with others would be best protected by using the Womolia with a condom. And I cannot forget one of the best features – the Womolia is rechargeable.
My thoughts: As I said in the beginning of this review, the Womolia is now one of my favorite vibrators. This baby packs quite a punch. As strong as the Hitachi? Probably not. But it is significantly more strong than any other vibrator I own. My favorite setting is the medium constant vibration. As you might expect with a stronger vibe comes a more prominent noise. Yes, this is a noisy vibrator. But not so much so that I’m bothered by it. I don’t expect my vibrators to be silent.
I love that the material on the tip of the vibrator has a bit of “grab” (for lack of a better word) to it. It doesn’t slide right off my clit which is a plus in my book. I also liked inserting the tip into my vagina as I was approaching orgasm. The Womolia works not only as a clit vibe for me but is also good for stimulating my g-spot.
The construction of the Womolia is great as well. The handle is easy and comfortable to hold, the buttons are clearly marked and straightforward to use, and I know this vibrator is going to last for a long time. I’m excited that it’s rechargeable as well. Any time I don’t have to waste batteries on a toy, I’m pleased.
While I could take or leave the heat function of the Womolia, I did appreciate it. The gentle warming of the vibe was noticeable and pleasant but, for me, didn’t add all that much to the experience. I certainly wouldn’t turn my toy on ahead of time to warm it up (as suggested in the manual) but I do enjoy the gradual warming that happens as I use the vibe.
Did I mention I renamed my vibrator The Wombat? Womolia doesn’t exactly roll off my tongue but Wombat comes out quite nicely.
Where to buy: The Womolia is available from quite a few sources. Among them, Babeland, EdenFantasys, and even Walgreens. All of those sellers are offering the previous, non-heat version of the Womolia. A lower price might be had by ordering direct from Emotional Bliss, where I received my Womolia Heat from. Emotional Bliss has a great guarantee and is a great company to deal with.
I would highly recommend the Womolia Heat. I’ve enjoyed mine and I know I’ll continue to do so!

Editor’s Pick
- Outlaw Leather’s The Fix by Beautiful Dreamer
It also works very nicely for when he has already came multiple times and I still want more- I strap this on him, set him in a chair, and fuck myself silly. He enjoys watching me get off, I enjoy the intimacy I still feel by being connected to him, and I have my blissful orgasms.
Editor’s Note: Not only is this a wonderful review, as always, from Beautiful Dreamer, but just recently my girlfriend and I were remarking how we needed to try a thigh harness and so of course there was not one but two thigh harness reviews in this week’s list, gotta love when things like that happen. I hadn’t seen The Fix before, and it’s a gorgeous product worthy of this great review.

I am not a worshiper at the Shrine of the Hitachi Magic Wand. I know scores of people who love it, sing it’s praises, cannot live without it, etc. I am not one of those women. I tried to love the Hitachi; gave it a fair shake, I think. Just couldn’t get into it. But when I saw the Acuvibe Mini, I thought perhaps this is a larger massager/vibrator that is more up my alley.
First off, I was so excited to open the box to discover that I’d received a pink Mini. But if pink’s not your thing, Babeland also sells the Acuvibe Mini in blue. The Mini is a lovely massager made by Human Touch that comes in a nice box with an instruction manual and the charging unit. Yes, the Mini is rechargeable! This is a plus for me as one of the things that bothered me about the Hitachi was the cord. I’m all for toys that don’t require batteries.
The size and shape of the Mini? Perfect! It has a good heft to it but nothing that will cause my hand to be fatigued. The massager head of the Mini is soft and has a great little curve to it that helps it nestle right in where I need it. I was also pleased to find that the vibrations that transfer through the unit don’t bother my hand. I don’t want to have to worry about my hand going numb while I’m working toward an orgasm!
Speaking of the vibrations… I would compare the power of the Mini to the low setting on the Hitachi. For me, that is quite a bit of oomph. But it seems that the size and shape of the Mini help me better control how I experience the vibrations. Thus, I know I’ll be more apt to use the Mini more than I ever would have used the Hitachi.
I’m thrilled to say that I can’t find one single thing about the Acuvibe Mini that I don’t like. If you’re looking for something Hitachi-like but with the perks of being cordless, rechargeable, and small, I would highly recommend the Mini. This toy is one of Babeland’s Staff Picks and is well worth the $60 price tag.

porn | June 1st, 2009 by Coy Pink
A while back, I was given the opportunity by Babeland to review The New Romantix*, a porn in the new Babeland Premieres line. I am not a huge lover of porn (especially anything scripted) but from the description of this video, I hoped I would enjoy The New Romantix.
This hot erotic documentary explores the sexualities of six different women, from industry stars like Joanna Angel and Ryan Keely to nubile newcomers like Lexi Bardot and Avy Lee Roth (yes, the daughter of Mr. California Girls himself). These women are a different breed of adult film star, undeniably ravishing but still real.
Sounds pretty interesting, doesn’t it?
The interviews: I was particularly interested in the interview portions of the movie. I enjoy porn more when the people are real to me. Sadly, I didn’t care for the interviews as much as I’d hoped. Perhaps if I’d entered into the viewing of this movie with no expectations of what the interviews might be like, I wouldn’t have been disappointed.
The soundtrack: I was excited that The New Romantix didn’t have a typical soundtrack. But at times the music was overwhelming. The focus of the porn should be the action, not the music. Still, I appreciated the effort that was made to try something new with the soundtrack.
The talent: Most of the cast was attractive to me (with the exception of the guy in the Avy Lee Roth scene). I like my girls a little edgy and there was certainly a bit of that in the movie. Not your typical cookie-cutter blondes with fake boobs.
The scenes: Overall, a decent collection of sex scenes. A few specifics – neither Alec nor I cared for the solo masturbating scene at the start of the movie (which is surprising because Alec usually enjoys that type of thing). The girl was certainly hot but the action seemed so obviously contrived to us that we just couldn’t get into it. Again, neither of us cared for the bouncy house scene. Maybe because we have kids and couldn’t get past thinking about all the germs that must be in that place? Who knows. My favorite scene was the threesome that included Lexi Bardot and Joanna Angel – quite sexy. The infrared closet scene was also pretty hot. There was a bit of a voyeuristic feel to it.
My overall impression: I’m a pretty tough customer when it comes to porn so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I have certainly seen other movies that I disliked more than this one. But I was unimpressed enough with The New Romantix that I have no desire to watch it again. Might you like it? Sure. There’s no plot (which I do appreciate), the cast is attractive, and the music is not your typical porn fare. There are redeeming qualities to this video. Just not enough to get me to watch it again.
* It appears that The New Romantix is not being offered by Babeland at this time. It can still be purchased (either streamed or actual DVD) directly from The New Romantix website.

When I saw the Gold Digger Vibrator, I was excited. It’s wasn’t that I needed another vibrator, no, it was the sparkly, shiny jewels that enticed me. I’m a girly girl and love pretty things. It seemed the Gold Digger Vibrator was right up my alley!
The package arrived from Babeland and I promptly ripped it open. The vibe is packaged in a plastic clam shell and is made by Doc Johnson. It is black with orange “jewels” around the base, is made of phthalate-free ABS, and is waterproof. The vibe has a length of 6.5″. For a vibrator like this, insertable length is not a concern for me because I know I’ll only want to use it on my clitoris. The Gold Digger takes two AA batteries and the escalating vibrations are controlled by twisting the bottom of the base.

First impressions: I love the silky feel of this vibe. The jewels, however, were not quite what I was expecting. They are quite raised from the base and are haphazardly glued in. I suppose this doesn’t matter too much as the jewels won’t be that visible when the toy is in use. But it was disappointing for me because I was excited about getting a sparkly, shiny toy. (ETA from Alec: I remembered on the website they say to ”use a condom for insertion to keep your jewels sitting pretty”. Sure seems like an extra hassle to me.)
I loaded the batteries in and got down to work. I know that I need maximum speed to get off so I promptly cranked this baby all the way to high. Let’s just say that no one will ever accuse this vibe of being too quiet. But a little noise never stopped me! While the Gold Digger felt quite good against my clit, I knew almost right away that I wouldn’t be able to get off on the vibrations alone. Thankfully I had my sweet Alec there to (quite literally) lend me a hand. I did manage to have an orgasm but I’m fairly sure I would never be able to use this vibrator on my clit without other aids and still come.
I think this vibrator could be a good choice as a first toy for a beginner or for someone who doesn’t need super strong vibrations to orgasm. I like that the Gold Digger is made of phthalate-free materials and is waterproof. The price is pretty reasonable for this type of vibe. I think I would have liked this toy more if the vibrations were stronger and the jeweled decorations were a little less cheap looking. I’m not looking for a diamond-encrusted vibrator but I also don’t want to worry that the plastic jewels on my toy are going to pop off. My verdict: a good starter toy but if you’re looking for something flashy and a bit more serious, keep searching.

- Pearl Cuffs by CarrieAnn
The second I saw them a fantasy bloomed, large and dark, in the recesses of my mind.
I had images of formalwear and candlelight, gourmet meals and decadent desserts. A meal served silently, these dainty pearl cuffs binding my wrists. Images of kneeling at his feet, being hand fed bits of his meal and sips of his wine – the pearl cuffs wrapping my wrists, hands helplessly still in my lap.

When I saw that Babeland was offering edible pasties for review, I knew I had to try them. I’ve never tried any type of pasty before and was anxious to give them a whirl. I chose the cinnamon heart-shaped pasties. The other flavor/shape choices are strawberry flavored strawberries and cherry flavored cherries.
When the pasties arrived, I knew I wanted to wear them with my new, white ruffled panties. So last night I put on my panties and ripped open the package.
The instructions say to moisten the back of the pasties and then stick on. I licked the back of the first pasty. The taste was pleasant, a light cinnamon flavor. I did the same with the second pasty then set about to apply them. Here was the tricky part. These pasties are better suited for a more flat area, which the end of a breast is not. They were a bit thick, not quite sticky enough, and therefore did not lie flat on my nipple. Still they were cute and I was determined to get a few pictures with them on.

Not exactly what I had in mind but still fun. Then I had an idea.

Not their intended use but pretty cute, I think!
Once we finished with the photoshoot, I peeled the pasties off and decided to give the outside a lick (since I assume the idea here is to have someone lick them off the wearer). Well, most of the flavor seems to be on the back of the pasty, the front is rough and not very flavorful (not a big deal, really). Also, it would take FOREVER for someone to lick through these. They would not dissolve quickly without some serious licking or chewing.
My conclusion: I loved the idea of the edible pasties but the actual real-life use of them fell short of my hopes. They do much better on a flat skin surface than on the end of a breast. The taste is good and not overpowering or offensive. At $5.00 for a pack of two, they do offer an inexpensive way to play with a partner. These edible pasties would be good for someone who was not wanting or expecting to keep them on for a long time. They would also be good for someone concerned about the effect of an adhesive pasty on their nipple. In the future, I would forgo the edible option for something that sticks better to my skin.
Thanks, Babeland, for letting me have a little cinnamon fun with my Alec!
