toys | June 7th, 2012 by Coy Pink
I haven’t reviewed a toy in a long time for a number of reasons, but when I got the opportunity to test out and review the new PicoBong Kaya rabbit-style vibrator, I didn’t want to pass up the opportunity. I also knew I was in a unique position to review this product since I already own the LELO Soraya (Kaya’s more expensive LELO sister). I’ll start off by saying I really like both the LELO Soraya and the PicoBong Kaya. I know not everyone is a fan of the rabbit style vibrator but I am. I like dual stimulation and if I can get that in one toy, I’ll take it. Before I received the Kaya I was pretty sure that there was no way I’d ever recommend it over the Soraya but I found myself having second thoughts about that opinion once I had Kaya in my hot little hands.
Basic comparison: There are some obvious physical differences between the Soraya (top) and Kaya (bottom) at first glance but there are some similarities as well. They are both constructed of body safe ABS and matte silicone, have similar controls (plus, minus, mode), and are waterproof. The LELO Soraya is rechargeable and the PicoBong Kaya runs on two AAA batteries. The Soraya has eight vibration modes whereas the Kaya has twelve. The packaging of the PicoBong Kaya is more basic than the LELO Soraya but if you’re like me, packaging isn’t the reason you’re buying this product. One of the biggest differences is price: Base price of the Soraya is $199 and the Kaya is only $89.
Power: Both vibrators have motors in the main body of the toy as well as in the clitoral stimulator. The LELO Soraya feels a bit more powerful than the PicoBong Kaya. The difference, however, doesn’t affect my ability to get off with this toy. I mention it only because I have both toys and can feel a slight difference when I’m holding them at the same time.
Body: The firmness of the two toys is the same, sturdy and unbending. The clitoral stimulators have about the same amount of give and can bend slightly away from the body of the vibrator. As you can see in the top picture, the angle of the clitoral arm is quite different on each toy. While the metal-finish portion of the Soraya is pretty, it is harder to clean than the Kaya due to the seam between the materials. They placed the buttons of the Kaya on the side of the toy whereas the controls of the Soraya are on the top edge of the vibrator, however the +/-/M symbols on the Soraya buttons are raised and easier to feel. Kaya’s symbols are recessed and can be difficult to feel or even see in dim light. In use, the Kaya has a ribbed end cap to hold onto and the Soraya has hole through the body.
Pros – PicoBong Kaya: Smaller price tag than the Soraya, easy to clean, better angle (for me) of the clitoral stimulator, more vibration patterns, and the buttons won’t accidentally get pushed during use (a problem I had with the Soraya).
Cons – PicoBong Kaya: It’s not rechargeable, and while you can use rechargeable batteries, the manual warns that they will cause “decreased vibration intensity”. Occasionally the buttons do not seem to respond to being pushed (this has been an intermittent issue for me and I cannot reproduce it with any regularity). The “manual” is pretty worthless. You’ll learn much more from their website.
I’m pleased to say that I really do enjoy the PicoBong Kaya. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this toy to someone who was in the market for a rabbit-type vibrator. The LELO Soraya is a great vibrator, too, but if you’re looking for something just as good with a less hefty price tag, the Kaya is an excellent choice.
Thank you to the folks at PicoBong for letting me review the Kaya.

I really love when #1) I get to review a product I’m excited about and #2) I end up loving said product. The Tantus Curve dildo fits the bill for #1 and #2.
Perhaps if you’re budget-conscious like me, you’re wondering: is the Curve worth the price (currently $60 at Babeland)? My answer would be a resounding yes. Here’s why:
- this dildo is made by Tantus. Everything I’ve seen and experienced from this company has been nothing but the highest quality.
- the Curve is made of 100% silicone. This is a body-safe, phthalates-free material that is long lasting and easy to clean (water and antibacterial soap, boiling, 10% bleach solution, or the top rack of your dishwasher).
- this dildo is harness-compatible. If only I had a harness and a willing partner to try it out on!
- the Curve is great for both vaginal and anal sex. How would I know? I’ve used it for both!
The Curve I received from Babeland to review is the smooth black version. It’s sexy looking and I appreciate it’s darkness in contrast to the other colorful toys that I own. With just a little bit of water-based lube, it’s quite easy for me to put the Curve to good use. I’m a fan of the smooth silicone. None of my other dildos has a texture quite like the Curve. As I mentioned above, I have used this toy both vaginally and anally and think it works great for both. For me, this dildo is the perfect size, shape, and firmness for anal play. I haven’t had a g-spot orgasm (yet) from using the Curve (it’s designed to hit the g-spot on insertion and again on the way out), but I’m not too sad about that because I know how much I’ve enjoyed it otherwise.
If you’re in the market for a harness-compatible, silicone, and/or g-spot stimulating dildo, the Tantus Curve should certainly be on your list of items to consider. Hopefully someday my dream of owning a sexy harness for this dildo and finding the perfect girl to fuck with it comes true. You KNOW I’ll be back to update this review if that happens!
Are you budget-conscious people still reading? If you’re interested in purchasing the Tantus Curve (or any other sex toy, for that matter) from Babeland in the near future, they are having a great deal right now (valid until midnight PST, Wednesday August 26). To save $5 on a $50+ purchase, use code 5BUCKS, $15 off a $100+ purchase, use code 15BUCKS, and to save $30 off a $150+ purchase, use code 30BUCKS.

I love glass sex toys. I also happen to be a fan of butt plugs. So when I saw the Trinity Clear Anal Plug, I knew I wanted to try it. Glass is great for a number of reasons. You can warm it or cool it, it is very easy to clean (boil, dishwasher, 10% bleach solution), it is long lasting, and it’s beautiful to look at.
The Trinity plug comes in a small plastic box with a velvet cinch-top bag to store the plug in. I love this little bag because now my plug isn’t rattling around in my toy box. When I pulled the plug out of the box and handled it, I thought I’d have no problem putting it in my ass. It’s a good size – not too small, not too big. I figured I’ve had larger things in my butt and I mentioned to Alec that I was sure I could take the Trinity Plug with little to no effort. And this is where my ass laughed, mockingly, at me.
At the same time I received the plug from Extreme Restraints to review, I also received Boy Butter, an oil-based cream lube. I thought this would be the perfect time to test that out as well. One of the things that is so great about this lube is that it doesn’t slide off your fingers, toys, body, etc. It’s creamy but not overly thick. It is water-soluble so it washes off well. Being oil-based, this lube is safe to use with rubber, glass, and silicone. It is not, however, safe to use with latex (but there is a water-based version of Boy Butter that is safe to use with latex). I have absolutely no complaints about this lube and it will be my first choice when I need to use a lubricant.
So, we got the plug, lube, and a towel set up and went right to work on inserting the plug. Alec applied the lube to me as well as to the plug. He then started working the plug into my ass as he was kissing, caressing, and rubbing me. All went well until he got to the largest part of the plug. Remember earlier, when my ass mocked me for being so cocky about taking the Trinity plug with no problem? Well, this is the point when it became apparent that we needed to retreat, regroup, and try again. More lube was applied and more time was spent trying to get my ass acclimated to the size of the plug. I’m happy to report that the second try was successful. The Trinity glass plug was in and felt great. Alec then went down on me and made me come. Fabulous! Then he climbed on me and fucked me for a while before turning me around to take me from behind. Even more fabulous! We attempted to put a vibrator on the base of the plug as he fucked me but we didn’t have the right vibe for the job and abandoned this after a minute or two. (Note: I think something with a larger head like the Hitachi or Acuvibe would be great for this.) I’ll certainly try the vibe-on-plug trick again as I sometimes enjoy vibrating anal toys.
I love the Trinity Clear Glass Plug and will certainly use it when I am looking to add some ass-play to our encounters. This would also be a good plug to wear out and about. I’m sure I’ll try that too! While it was a challenge for me to take this plug, it isn’t huge or uncomfortable when fully inserted. I think the key when putting anything in your ass is to use a good amount of lube (like Boy Butter) and take your time. No one gets points for quick insertion of butt plugs.
If you’re at all considering purchasing the Trinity Glass Plug, NOW IS THE TIME! Not only is the plug already marked down, but Extreme Restraints is offering an additional 20% off of toys in the Trinity line (use coupon code TRINITY20 at checkout). Get shopping!

Did you see my Half-Nekkid Thursday post two weeks ago entitled “Restrained?” If not, you should go check it out. I’ll wait here… Now that you’re back I can tell you about the fun Easy Access Neoprene Restraint System that was featured in those photos.
The restraint system was sent to me by Extreme Restraints. I had high hopes for this product and I was not disappointed. This is a great basic restraint that is easy to use, inexpensive, doesn’t take up a lot of space, and can be used in various ways. It is made up of heavy duty nylon, neoprene-lined cuffs, and strong velcro closures. The spreader bar portion of the restraint is reinforced with a bar underneath the nylon.
The first position I was restrained in was by my ankles, bent over forwards, with my hands in between my feet. I was pretty helpless in this position and quite happy to discover that fact. Alec could lay me on my back, roll me back and forth, and generally have his way with me. The cuffs were very comfortable to wear since they have a nice layer of neoprene on the inside. With the velcro firmly pressed together and the cuffs secured well on my wrists, there’s no way I could get out of this restraint alone.
The next position he had me in was a hog tie. This was a little more cumbersome for me and the cuffs didn’t fit me as well in this position (I’m sure if I were more flexible or thinner, this wouldn’t be an issue). That being said, I LOVED being tied up this way. I thoroughly enjoyed being defenseless and unable to escape Alec’s whim.
But wait! There is another way to use this restraint. Do you have bars on your headboard like we do? Hook the outer cuffs securely to the bars and place your sexy partner’s hands (or feet) in the inside cuffs. This is next on my list of things to try.
I would highly recommend the Easy Access Neoprene Restraint System. It is a wonderful basic, inexpensive yet sturdy, way to work some bondage into your sex play. It is also lightweight and doesn’t take up a lot of room. Great for packing and taking with you on sexy trips. If this item doesn’t fit the bill of what you’re looking for, check out the other bondage and restraint items available from Extreme Restraints! A big thank you to the kind people at Extreme Restraints for allowing me to test and review this item.
