The end of the year theme from Osbasso is to choose our favorite Half-Nekkid Thursday submission from the past year. I’ve only been participating and blogging since the end of July so I don’t have as much to choose from as some of you. Alec and I have had a great time joining in with the HNT crowd. It’s fun for the two of us to think up the shot we want to get. Oh! We enjoy taking the pictures as well. 
HNT has also allowed Alec to explore other aspects of photographic style and creativity that he doesn’t experience often.
Since there are two of us running this here blog, we’ve each chosen a favorite shot from the past year.
Coy’s favorite: This was my very first HNT submission and is one of my favorite pictures. Thank you to my talented husband for making me look good!
Alec’s favorite: This shot was from our National Creamsicle Day HNT.

I hope you all are anticipating the holidays with as much excitement as I am. I love this time of year and am trying to view it with the wonder and joy that my girls do.

For Mina and Sylvanus from At Longing’s End: My gift to you would be a hefty gift certificate to a photography supply company to purchase strobes, soft boxes, light stands, etc. for your photo adventures. I would also wish for you many hot nights at home, putting your new purchases to good use. For your benefit and that of your devoted readers.
For Rapunzel (and her LMF) from Rapunzel’s Musings: My gift to you would be an all expenses paid trip to the tropical locale of your choice. You had such a glorious time on your trip to Barbados, I’d love for you two to experience that kind of a vacation again. You’re a hard working (and totally hot) mama and you deserve it!
For Lilly from This Could Be Dangerous: My gift to you would be a plane ticket to my neck of the woods. Because I’m a selfish bitch and because it’s just not fair that someone I like so much lives so dang far away. Someday… someday.
One of my Christmas wishes this year has come true. Snow! Oh my, do we have snow (WAY more than in the photo below). This shot was taken on my back porch at 10pm. The long exposure makes it look like the middle of the day!

Happy Half-Nekkid Thursday, lovies.
I love having a Christmas tree. It’s even more fun to be sharing it with my kids. We had a great time decorating it (except for the part where it fell over…) and it is a lovely addition to our home.
Of course, a Christmas tree is enhanced by the presents beneath it. You stare at each package, wonder what’s inside them. You pick them up, give them a little shake, and try to guess what you’ll be getting come Christmas. Some presents are easy to figure out, once you have your hands on them. Others remain a mystery until you peel away the wrapping, revealing the gift inside.

Can’t show the whole picture, but this is the best part.
I came across this picture by Doug Winsor and mentioned to Alec that we should try to do our own version. It’s an amazing photo, as is the rest of Mr. Winsor’s work.
