Wednesday Weirdness
I’m having a bit of trouble thinking of something good to write about so I’m resorting to filling out a meme to put *something* up here.
1.) As an adult, do you do anything for Halloween or is it just another day?
I love Halloween. I would dress up more often if I had a place to go in costume. This year I will actually be dressing up as the girls and I have a Halloween party we’re attending.
2.) Do you ever dress up for Halloween? What will be your costume this year?
Yes, I do dress up occasionally. This year I’ll be wearing a long black “Gothic” hooded robe, fake eyelashes, and a fresh shock of pink in my hair.
3.) Have you started Christmas shopping yet? When do you usually begin?
I do actually have two Christmas presents purchased. I normally start trying to buy stuff around this time of year. I always end up leaving the hardest to buy for people to the very end and getting desperate for a present idea.
4.) Do you look people in the eye when talking? Does it bother you when people don’t make eye contact during conversation?
I do try to make eye contact while I’m talking. It does bother me sometimes if people don’t make eye contact with me while they’re talking as I get the impression that they’re not concentrating on our conversation.
5.) What excuse do you usually use when you want to take a day off work for no real reason?
Uh… I can’t take a day off of work. As a stay-at-home mom, I don’t get vacation days! If I do need a break, it’s because my kids are driving me crazy and that’s the excuse I use.
6.) How often, on average, do you find yourself thinking about sex per day?
Depends on the day I think, perhaps on the amount of hormones coursing through me. But if I’m supposed to be averaging things out, I’d say twice a day.
7.) What company makes your favorite brand of shoes? What makes them your favorite?
While I love shoes, I’m not much of a connoisseur of them. I don’t pay much attention to brands, I just buy what I like and can afford.
8.) Do you ever save alcohol bottles once they are empty?
No. I can’t stand keeping useless (to me) clutter around (though you’d never know that by the state of my house). I recycle them.
9.) Do you enjoy musicals?
I do enjoy musicals but I don’t actively seek them out. Alec does NOT enjoy musicals so it isn’t often that I would get the opportunity to see one.

I am very guilty of the poor eye contact thing. It’s an ADD thing, mostly and partly just my discomfort with extended eye contact. Usually though I am paying attention, it’s hard, but I try. Although with you….sorry…but I might turn into a typical male pig and stare at your cleavage
I’m not fond of most musicals either. I loved Phantom. And honestly that might be it, lol.
@Lilly – Well, then we’ll both be making poor eye contact because I’ll be staring at your clevage as well.
I haven’t seen Phantom but I *loved* Les Miserables. I think I liked The King and I too but it’s been too long.
Your “costume” sounds nice and simple. I did a long hooded “gothic” robe last year with a wig and some funky make-up. I like putting my own costumes together over buying one.
